Barangay Anas

Situated in Valencia, Bohol, Barangay Anas is one of 35 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Anas had a population of 1,853. This made it the 2nd largest of 35 barangays in Valencia by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Anas accounted for approximately 6.53% of the total population of Valencia, which stood at 28,392 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,719 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,853 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +7.8%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Anas is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Valencia is a municipality comprising 35 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Anas, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
