Barangay Buyog

Barangay Buyog is a very small barangay in the municipality of Valencia, located in the province of Bohol, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Buyog had a population of 433. This made it the 32nd largest of 35 barangays in Valencia by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Buyog accounted for approximately 1.53% of the total population of Valencia, which stood at 28,392 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Buyog moving from 420 residents to 433 residents, an intercensal change of +3.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Buyog is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
