Barangay Banderahan

Situated in Valencia, Bohol, Barangay Banderahan is one of 35 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Banderahan had a population of 919. This made it the 12th largest of 35 barangays in Valencia by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Banderahan accounted for approximately 3.24% of the total population of Valencia, which stood at 28,392 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 872 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 919 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +5.4%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Banderahan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Valencia is a municipality comprising 35 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Banderahan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
