Barangay Pedro Vera

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Pedro Vera is one of the administrative divisions of Viga in Catanduanes, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Pedro Vera had a population of 1,642. This made it the 1st largest of 31 barangays in Viga by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pedro Vera accounted for approximately 7.18% of the total population of Viga, which stood at 22,869 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,427 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,642 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +15.1%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Pedro Vera is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Viga is a municipality comprising 31 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pedro Vera, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Catanduanes, which contains 315 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Pedro Vera ranks 30th by 2020 population.
