Barangay San Geronimo (Pob.)

Situated in Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya, Barangay San Geronimo (Pob.) is one of 17 barangays that make up the municipality within Cagayan Valley.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Geronimo (Pob.) had a population of 1,338. This made it the 14th largest of 17 barangays in Bagabag by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Geronimo (Pob.) accounted for approximately 3.52% of the total population of Bagabag, which stood at 37,985 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,546 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,338 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -13.5%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Geronimo (Pob.) as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Bagabag is a municipality comprising 17 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Geronimo (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Nueva Vizcaya, which contains 275 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay San Geronimo (Pob.) ranks 147th by 2020 population.
