Situated in Balilihan, Bohol, Barangay Baucan Norte is one of 31 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

This made it the 2nd largest of 31 barangays in Balilihan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Baucan Norte accounted for approximately 4.80% of the total population of Balilihan, which stood at 18,694 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Baucan Norte changed from 666 to 898, a shift of +34.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Balilihan.
