Barangay Boyog Proper

Situated in Balilihan, Bohol, Barangay Boyog Proper is one of 31 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Boyog Proper had a population of 286. This made it the 28th largest of 31 barangays in Balilihan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Boyog Proper accounted for approximately 1.53% of the total population of Balilihan, which stood at 18,694 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Boyog Proper changed from 281 to 286, a shift of +1.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in Balilihan. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Boyog Proper as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
