Barangay Datag Norte

Situated in Balilihan, Bohol, Barangay Datag Norte is one of 31 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Datag Norte had a population of 695. This made it the 7th largest of 31 barangays in Balilihan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Datag Norte accounted for approximately 3.72% of the total population of Balilihan, which stood at 18,694 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 604 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 695 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +15.1%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Datag Norte is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Balilihan is a municipality comprising 31 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Datag Norte, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
