Barangay Balagnan

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Balagnan is one of the administrative divisions of Balingasag in Misamis Oriental, Northern Mindanao, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Balagnan had a population of 1,058. This made it the 26th largest of 30 barangays in Balingasag by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Balagnan accounted for approximately 1.42% of the total population of Balingasag, which stood at 74,385 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Balagnan moving from 1,007 residents to 1,058 residents, an intercensal change of +5.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Balagnan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
