Barangay Upper Usogan

Barangay Upper Usogan forms part of Bonifacio, a municipality in Misamis Occidental, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Upper Usogan had a population of 694. This made it the 23rd largest of 28 barangays in Bonifacio by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Upper Usogan accounted for approximately 2.01% of the total population of Bonifacio, which stood at 34,558 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 592 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 694 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +17.2%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Upper Usogan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Bonifacio is a municipality comprising 28 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Upper Usogan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
