Barangay Dalacdac

Situated in Burgos, La Union, Barangay Dalacdac is one of 12 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Dalacdac had a population of 400. This made it the 12th largest of 12 barangays in Burgos by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Dalacdac accounted for approximately 4.44% of the total population of Burgos, which stood at 9,006 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Dalacdac moving from 308 residents to 400 residents, an intercensal change of +29.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Dalacdac as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
