Barangay Libtong

Barangay Libtong forms part of Burgos, a municipality in La Union, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Libtong had a population of 695. This made it the 6th largest of 12 barangays in Burgos by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Libtong accounted for approximately 7.72% of the total population of Burgos, which stood at 9,006 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Libtong moving from 640 residents to 695 residents, an intercensal change of +8.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Libtong as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
