Situated in Calatagan, Batangas, Barangay Hukay is one of 25 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Hukay had a population of 2,500. This made it the 11th largest of 25 barangays in Calatagan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Hukay accounted for approximately 4.26% of the total population of Calatagan, which stood at 58,719 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Hukay moving from 2,120 residents to 2,500 residents, an intercensal change of +17.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
