Barangay San Andres

Classified as a large barangay, Barangay San Andres is one of the administrative divisions of Candelaria in Quezon, CALABARZON, Philippines.

This made it the 12th largest of 25 barangays in Candelaria by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Andres accounted for approximately 4.22% of the total population of Candelaria, which stood at 137,881 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay San Andres changed from 5,048 to 5,823, a shift of +15.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Candelaria. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Andres as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Candelaria is a municipality comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Andres, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Quezon, which contains 1,242 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay San Andres ranks 47th by 2020 population.
