Barangay Lanao

Barangay Lanao is a large barangay in the City of Kidapawan, located in the province of Cotabato, in the SOCCSKSARGEN region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Lanao had a population of 9,782. This made it the 4th largest of 40 barangays in City of Kidapawan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Lanao accounted for approximately 6.08% of the total population of City of Kidapawan, which stood at 160,791 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Lanao moving from 8,271 residents to 9,782 residents, an intercensal change of +18.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Lanao is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Kidapawan is a city comprising 40 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Lanao, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
