Barangay Sibawan

Situated in City of Kidapawan, Cotabato, Barangay Sibawan is one of 40 barangays that make up the city within SOCCSKSARGEN.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Sibawan had a population of 1,610. This made it the 31st largest of 40 barangays in City of Kidapawan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Sibawan accounted for approximately 1.00% of the total population of City of Kidapawan, which stood at 160,791 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,419 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,610 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +13.5%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Sibawan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
