Barangay Yubo

Situated in City of La Carlota, Negros Occidental, Barangay Yubo is one of 14 barangays that make up the city within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Yubo had a population of 2,572. This made it the 14th largest of 14 barangays in City of La Carlota by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Yubo accounted for approximately 3.86% of the total population of City of La Carlota, which stood at 66,664 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Yubo changed from 2,546 to 2,572, a shift of +1.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in City of La Carlota. Barangay Yubo is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of La Carlota is a city comprising 14 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Yubo, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
