Barangay Tinago

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Tinago is one of the administrative divisions of City of Naga in Camarines Sur, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tinago had a population of 2,904. This made it the 23rd largest of 27 barangays in City of Naga by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Tinago accounted for approximately 1.39% of the total population of City of Naga, which stood at 209,170 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Tinago changed from 3,268 to 2,904, a shift of -11.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in City of Naga. Barangay Tinago is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Naga is a city comprising 27 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tinago, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Camarines Sur, which contains 1,063 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Tinago ranks 184th by 2020 population. Camarines Sur is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.

Like every Philippine barangay, Barangay Tinago is led by an elected Punong Barangay (barangay captain) supported by seven Sangguniang Barangay members (kagawads), an SK Chairperson, a Barangay Secretary, and a Barangay Treasurer. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
