Barangay Ubujan

Situated in City of Tagbilaran, Bohol, Barangay Ubujan is one of 15 barangays that make up the city within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Ubujan had a population of 5,561. This made it the 10th largest of 15 barangays in City of Tagbilaran by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Ubujan accounted for approximately 5.30% of the total population of City of Tagbilaran, which stood at 104,976 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 5,574 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 5,561 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -0.2%, consistent with a broadly stable settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Ubujan as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Tagbilaran is a city comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Ubujan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bohol, which contains 1,109 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Ubujan ranks 17th by 2020 population. Bohol is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.

Barangay Ubujan is governed by an elected Sangguniang Barangay composed of a Punong Barangay and seven kagawads, with the Sangguniang Kabataan representing the youth. The next BSKE, set for Monday, November 2, 2026, will elect officials to four-year terms as provided under Republic Act No. 12232.
