Barangay Labit Proper

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Labit Proper is one of the administrative divisions of City of Urdaneta in Pangasinan, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Labit Proper had a population of 3,855. This made it the 16th largest of 34 barangays in City of Urdaneta by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Labit Proper accounted for approximately 2.67% of the total population of City of Urdaneta, which stood at 144,577 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 3,417 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 3,855 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +12.8%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Labit Proper as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Urdaneta is a city comprising 34 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Labit Proper, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Pangasinan, which contains 1,364 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Labit Proper ranks 169th by 2020 population. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
