Barangay Poblacion

Barangay Poblacion is a large barangay in the city of City of Urdaneta, located in the province of Pangasinan, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poblacion had a population of 7,285. This made it the 5th largest of 34 barangays in City of Urdaneta by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Poblacion accounted for approximately 5.04% of the total population of City of Urdaneta, which stood at 144,577 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Poblacion moving from 7,665 residents to 7,285 residents, an intercensal change of -5.0%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Poblacion as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
