Barangay III (Pob.)

Barangay III (Pob.) forms part of Coron, a municipality in Palawan, and is classified as a very small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay III (Pob.) had a population of 342. This made it the 23rd largest of 23 barangays in Coron by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay III (Pob.) accounted for approximately 0.52% of the total population of Coron, which stood at 65,855 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 775 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 342 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -55.9%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay III (Pob.) as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Coron is a municipality comprising 23 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay III (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Palawan, which contains 433 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay III (Pob.) ranks 355th by 2020 population. Palawan is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.
