Barangay Bulalacao

Barangay Bulalacao is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Coron, located in the province of Palawan, in the MIMAROPA Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Bulalacao had a population of 3,580. This made it the 8th largest of 23 barangays in Coron by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bulalacao accounted for approximately 5.44% of the total population of Coron, which stood at 65,855 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bulalacao moving from 3,488 residents to 3,580 residents, an intercensal change of +2.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Bulalacao as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Coron is a municipality comprising 23 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bulalacao, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Palawan, which contains 433 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Bulalacao ranks 84th by 2020 population.
