Barangay IV (Pob.)

Situated in Coron, Palawan, Barangay IV (Pob.) is one of 23 barangays that make up the municipality within MIMAROPA Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay IV (Pob.) had a population of 748. This made it the 22nd largest of 23 barangays in Coron by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay IV (Pob.) accounted for approximately 1.14% of the total population of Coron, which stood at 65,855 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 737 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 748 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +1.5%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay IV (Pob.) as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Coron is a municipality comprising 23 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay IV (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
