Barangay Cabanoyoan

Barangay Cabanoyoan is a small barangay in the municipality of Dimasalang, located in the province of Masbate, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Cabanoyoan had a population of 632. This made it the 15th largest of 20 barangays in Dimasalang by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cabanoyoan accounted for approximately 2.54% of the total population of Dimasalang, which stood at 24,909 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Cabanoyoan moving from 743 residents to 632 residents, an intercensal change of -14.9%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Cabanoyoan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
