Barangay Gregorio Alino

Barangay Gregorio Alino is a small barangay in the municipality of Dimasalang, located in the province of Masbate, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Gregorio Alino had a population of 1,458. This made it the 6th largest of 20 barangays in Dimasalang by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Gregorio Alino accounted for approximately 5.85% of the total population of Dimasalang, which stood at 24,909 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,614 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,458 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -9.7%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Gregorio Alino as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Dimasalang is a municipality comprising 20 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Gregorio Alino, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
