Barangay Calabad

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Calabad is one of the administrative divisions of Dimasalang in Masbate, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Calabad had a population of 574. This made it the 16th largest of 20 barangays in Dimasalang by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Calabad accounted for approximately 2.30% of the total population of Dimasalang, which stood at 24,909 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Calabad moving from 501 residents to 574 residents, an intercensal change of +14.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Calabad as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
