Barangay Suyo

Situated in Dingras, Ilocos Norte, Barangay Suyo is one of 31 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Suyo had a population of 1,404. This made it the 10th largest of 31 barangays in Dingras by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Suyo accounted for approximately 3.50% of the total population of Dingras, which stood at 40,127 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Suyo moving from 1,400 residents to 1,404 residents, an intercensal change of +0.3%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Suyo as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Dingras is a municipality comprising 31 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Suyo, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
