Barangay West Poblacion

Barangay West Poblacion is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Kalilangan, located in the province of Bukidnon, in the Northern Mindanao region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay West Poblacion had a population of 4,327. This made it the 4th largest of 14 barangays in Kalilangan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay West Poblacion accounted for approximately 9.90% of the total population of Kalilangan, which stood at 43,711 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 4,459 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 4,327 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -3.0%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay West Poblacion is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Kalilangan is a municipality comprising 14 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay West Poblacion, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
