Barangay Robles (Pob.)

Barangay Robles (Pob.) is a very large barangay in the municipality of La Castellana, located in the province of Negros Occidental, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Robles (Pob.) had a population of 20,530. This made it the 1st largest of 13 barangays in La Castellana by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Robles (Pob.) accounted for approximately 25.83% of the total population of La Castellana, which stood at 79,492 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 19,551 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 20,530 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +5.0%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Robles (Pob.) as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

La Castellana is a municipality comprising 13 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Robles (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Negros Occidental, which contains 662 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Robles (Pob.) ranks 1st by 2020 population. Negros Occidental is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.
