Barangay Pagsanaan Norte

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Pagsanaan Norte is one of the administrative divisions of Magsingal in Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Pagsanaan Norte had a population of 515. This made it the 27th largest of 30 barangays in Magsingal by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pagsanaan Norte accounted for approximately 1.64% of the total population of Magsingal, which stood at 31,308 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 563 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 515 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -8.5%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Pagsanaan Norte is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Magsingal is a municipality comprising 30 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pagsanaan Norte, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Ilocos Sur, which contains 768 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Pagsanaan Norte ranks 569th by 2020 population.
