Barangay San Isidro Iraya

Barangay San Isidro Iraya is a large barangay in the municipality of Malilipot, located in the province of Albay, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Isidro Iraya had a population of 5,416. This made it the 1st largest of 18 barangays in Malilipot by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Isidro Iraya accounted for approximately 13.26% of the total population of Malilipot, which stood at 40,857 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay San Isidro Iraya changed from 4,686 to 5,416, a shift of +15.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Malilipot. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Isidro Iraya as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Malilipot is a municipality comprising 18 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Isidro Iraya, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
