Barangay Alkikan

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Alkikan is one of the administrative divisions of Malungon in Sarangani, SOCCSKSARGEN, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Alkikan had a population of 1,204. This made it the 29th largest of 31 barangays in Malungon by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Alkikan accounted for approximately 1.14% of the total population of Malungon, which stood at 105,465 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Alkikan moving from 1,161 residents to 1,204 residents, an intercensal change of +3.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Alkikan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
