Barangay Datal Tampal

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Datal Tampal is one of the administrative divisions of Malungon in Sarangani, SOCCSKSARGEN, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Datal Tampal had a population of 3,249. This made it the 10th largest of 31 barangays in Malungon by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Datal Tampal accounted for approximately 3.08% of the total population of Malungon, which stood at 105,465 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Datal Tampal changed from 2,913 to 3,249, a shift of +11.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Malungon. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Datal Tampal as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
