Barangay Sambaludan

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Sambaludan is one of the administrative divisions of Oton in Iloilo, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Sambaludan had a population of 1,097. This made it the 29th largest of 37 barangays in Oton by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sambaludan accounted for approximately 1.11% of the total population of Oton, which stood at 98,509 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Sambaludan moving from 1,111 residents to 1,097 residents, an intercensal change of -1.3%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Sambaludan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Oton is a municipality comprising 37 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Sambaludan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
