Barangay Trapiche

Barangay Trapiche is a large barangay in the municipality of Oton, located in the province of Iloilo, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Trapiche had a population of 6,490. This made it the 3rd largest of 37 barangays in Oton by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Trapiche accounted for approximately 6.59% of the total population of Oton, which stood at 98,509 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Trapiche moving from 6,237 residents to 6,490 residents, an intercensal change of +4.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
