Barangay Nagsupotan

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Nagsupotan is one of the administrative divisions of San Juan in Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Nagsupotan had a population of 1,414. This made it the 1st largest of 32 barangays in San Juan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Nagsupotan accounted for approximately 5.30% of the total population of San Juan, which stood at 26,674 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Nagsupotan changed from 1,319 to 1,414, a shift of +7.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in San Juan. Barangay Nagsupotan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Juan is a municipality comprising 32 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Nagsupotan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Ilocos Sur, which contains 768 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Nagsupotan ranks 116th by 2020 population.
