Barangay Dulong Bayan 2

Barangay Dulong Bayan 2 is a large barangay in the municipality of San Mateo, located in the province of Rizal, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Dulong Bayan 2 had a population of 13,072. This made it the 8th largest of 15 barangays in San Mateo by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Dulong Bayan 2 accounted for approximately 4.78% of the total population of San Mateo, which stood at 273,306 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Dulong Bayan 2 changed from 8,777 to 13,072, a shift of +48.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in San Mateo. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Dulong Bayan 2 as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

San Mateo is a municipality comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Dulong Bayan 2, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
