Barangay Zone 1 (Pob.)

Barangay Zone 1 (Pob.) forms part of San Roque, a municipality in Northern Samar, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Zone 1 (Pob.) had a population of 3,943. This made it the 2nd largest of 16 barangays in San Roque by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Zone 1 (Pob.) changed from 3,537 to 3,943, a shift of +11.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in San Roque. Barangay Zone 1 (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Roque is a municipality comprising 16 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Zone 1 (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
