Barangay Langagan

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Langagan is one of the administrative divisions of Sanchez-Mira in Cagayan, Cagayan Valley, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Langagan had a population of 2,436. This made it the 4th largest of 18 barangays in Sanchez-Mira by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Langagan accounted for approximately 9.31% of the total population of Sanchez-Mira, which stood at 26,164 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Langagan changed from 2,162 to 2,436, a shift of +12.7% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Sanchez-Mira. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Langagan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Sanchez-Mira is a municipality comprising 18 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Langagan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Cagayan, which contains 820 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Langagan ranks 132nd by 2020 population.
