Barangay Marzan

Situated in Sanchez-Mira, Cagayan, Barangay Marzan is one of 18 barangays that make up the municipality within Cagayan Valley.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Marzan had a population of 968. This made it the 11th largest of 18 barangays in Sanchez-Mira by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Marzan accounted for approximately 3.70% of the total population of Sanchez-Mira, which stood at 26,164 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Marzan changed from 891 to 968, a shift of +8.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Sanchez-Mira. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Marzan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
