Barangay Cagay-anon

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Cagay-anon is one of the administrative divisions of Sinacaban in Misamis Occidental, Northern Mindanao, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Cagay-anon had a population of 1,429. This made it the 5th largest of 17 barangays in Sinacaban by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cagay-anon accounted for approximately 7.26% of the total population of Sinacaban, which stood at 19,671 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Cagay-anon changed from 1,307 to 1,429, a shift of +9.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Sinacaban. Barangay Cagay-anon is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Sinacaban is a municipality comprising 17 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Cagay-anon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Misamis Occidental, which contains 490 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Cagay-anon ranks 133rd by 2020 population.
