Barangay Colupan Alto

Barangay Colupan Alto is a small barangay in the municipality of Sinacaban, located in the province of Misamis Occidental, in the Northern Mindanao region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Colupan Alto had a population of 765. This made it the 10th largest of 17 barangays in Sinacaban by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Colupan Alto accounted for approximately 3.89% of the total population of Sinacaban, which stood at 19,671 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Colupan Alto changed from 761 to 765, a shift of +0.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in Sinacaban. Barangay Colupan Alto is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Sinacaban is a municipality comprising 17 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Colupan Alto, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
