Barangay Libertad Bajo

Barangay Libertad Bajo is a small barangay in the municipality of Sinacaban, located in the province of Misamis Occidental, in the Northern Mindanao region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Libertad Bajo had a population of 1,906. This made it the 3rd largest of 17 barangays in Sinacaban by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Libertad Bajo accounted for approximately 9.69% of the total population of Sinacaban, which stood at 19,671 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Libertad Bajo changed from 1,690 to 1,906, a shift of +12.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Sinacaban. Barangay Libertad Bajo is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Sinacaban is a municipality comprising 17 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Libertad Bajo, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
