Barangay Simang

Barangay Simang forms part of Valencia, a municipality in Bohol, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Simang had a population of 578. This made it the 25th largest of 35 barangays in Valencia by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. The barangay recorded 480 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 578 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +20.4%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Simang is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Valencia is a municipality comprising 35 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Simang, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
