Barangay Tagustusan

Barangay Tagustusan is a small barangay in the municipality of Balilihan, located in the province of Bohol, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tagustusan had a population of 684. This made it the 10th largest of 31 barangays in Balilihan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tagustusan accounted for approximately 3.66% of the total population of Balilihan, which stood at 18,694 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tagustusan moving from 713 residents to 684 residents, an intercensal change of -4.1%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Tagustusan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Balilihan is a municipality comprising 31 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tagustusan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
