Barangay Calacabian

Barangay Calacabian forms part of Libacao, a municipality in Aklan, and is classified as a small barangay.

This made it the 14th largest of 24 barangays in Libacao by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Calacabian changed from 865 to 831, a shift of -3.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Libacao. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Calacabian as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Libacao is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Calacabian, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Aklan, which contains 327 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Calacabian ranks 260th by 2020 population.
