Barangay Janlud

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Janlud is one of the administrative divisions of Libacao in Aklan, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Janlud had a population of 1,098. This made it the 10th largest of 24 barangays in Libacao by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Janlud accounted for approximately 3.88% of the total population of Libacao, which stood at 28,272 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Janlud changed from 1,011 to 1,098, a shift of +8.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Libacao. Barangay Janlud is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Libacao is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Janlud, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Aklan, which contains 327 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Janlud ranks 216th by 2020 population. Aklan is classified as a 2nd by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.
