Barangay Dalagsa-an

Barangay Dalagsa-an forms part of Libacao, a municipality in Aklan, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Dalagsa-an had a population of 2,086. This made it the 3rd largest of 24 barangays in Libacao by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Dalagsa-an accounted for approximately 7.38% of the total population of Libacao, which stood at 28,272 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Dalagsa-an changed from 1,908 to 2,086, a shift of +9.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Libacao. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Dalagsa-an as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Libacao is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Dalagsa-an, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Aklan, which contains 327 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Dalagsa-an ranks 83rd by 2020 population. Aklan is classified as a 2nd by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.
