Barangay Luctoga

Situated in Libacao, Aklan, Barangay Luctoga is one of 24 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Luctoga had a population of 1,443. This made it the 8th largest of 24 barangays in Libacao by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Luctoga accounted for approximately 5.10% of the total population of Libacao, which stood at 28,272 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Luctoga changed from 1,442 to 1,443, a shift of +0.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in Libacao. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Luctoga as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Libacao is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Luctoga, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Aklan, which contains 327 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Luctoga ranks 165th by 2020 population. Aklan is classified as a 2nd by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.
